The Gadarene Ridge is a mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Allan Hills, it extends south from Ship Cone .
Participants of a team of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program to explore the Allan Hills examined it in 1964. They named it because of its resemblance to a pig's back after the healing of the possessed of Gerasa from the Gospel of Mark of the Bible (Mk 5, 1-20), in which Jesus brought the demons of a possessed person into a herd of pigs ( English Gadarene Swine ).
