Adriaen van Gaesbeeck

Adriaen van Gaesbeeck (baptized August 22, 1621 in Leiden ; buried February 11, 1650 there ) was a Dutch painter .

Adriaen van Graesbeeck was a student of Gerard Dou . Around 1646 he stayed in Amsterdam for a short time , where he is documented for July 1st. In 1649 he was accepted into the Leiden painters' guild. He died just a year later. His rare pictures - he painted portraits, religious pictures and genre representations - are close to his teacher Gerard Dou. His earliest known pictures date from around 1645/46.
