Gaetano Amata

Gaetano Amata (born February 29, 1912 in Santa Maria Capua Vetere , Italy ) is an Italian filmmaker.

Life

Amata began as an assistant to the theater director Anton Giulio Bragaglia before moving into the film business in 1935. There he mostly worked as an assistant director . Between 1941 and 1953 he also got the opportunity to direct four films himself, of which only Husband on Order (1946) was shown in German-speaking countries.

He later headed the Roman theater Pasquino in Trastevere , showed the English-language films, and worked increasingly in the manager of movies, so at The Leopard (1963).
