Gaius Iulius Proclus
Gaius Iulius Proclus was an ancient Roman entrepreneur in the mid-2nd century.
Gaius Iulius Proclus owned a workshop that made ceramics. His job title for it was Latin sigillarius . The workshop was in Ampelum (today Zlatna ). Today it is especially for their glazed statuettes with the scene of a Mithraic sacrificial ceremony and clay lamps in form of the fertility god Priapus known. Many of the pieces are signed, and this in most cases by a stamp with the acronyms acronym GIP happened.
