Gaius Pomponius Camerinus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gaius Pomponius Camerinus was a Roman politician and senator of the 2nd century AD.

Camerinus probably came from Italy, where the cognomen Camerinus was most widespread. He was possibly a descendant of Gaius Pomponius Pius or Gaius Pomponius Rufus , both of whom had officiated as suffect consuls in 98 . A military diploma dated February 28, 138, shows that he was full consul with Kanus Iunius Niger in 138 .
