Gajim [ gɛʒɪm ] is a free instant messaging - client for the XMPP - protocol (formerly Jabber called). The platform-independent software has so far been ported to Linux , BSD and Windows , is written in Python and used for the GTK + interface .
The name Gajim is a recursive acronym for " G Ajim's a j abber i nStant m essenger".
focus
The developers are pursuing a powerful and at the same time easy-to-use XMPP client, primarily for GTK + -based window managers . Gnome is not necessarily required for this. The wide range of functions is reflected among others in the XML - console contradict the software can be viewed with which all data packets transmitted.
