Galaga '88 ( Japanese: ギ ャ ラ ガ '88 , Gyaraga Eiti Eito ) is an arcade game by Namco from 1987. It is the third part of the Galaxian series (previously published Galaga (1981) and Gaplus ( 1984)). The game showed much more complex graphics than its predecessor, especially due to the detailed backgrounds and the larger spaceships. The reviews of the game were consistently positive, but fewer machines were produced than with their predecessors Galaga and Gaplus. Galaga '88 was based on the hardware Namco System 1 .

Gameplay

The gameplay of Galaga '88 is based on the basics of the original Galaga , but was much more complex in many details and more difficult to play. The game is divided into 29 levels, which have been divided into eight worlds.
