Gallery grave of Hiddingsen
The gallery grave of Hiddingsen (also called "Steinkammergrab" or "Steinkiste") was discovered in 1934 during quarry work near Hiddingsen (City of Soest / North Rhine-Westphalia ). 98 human skeletons were recovered in the gallery grave , which is approximately 16.8 × 2.8 × 2.0 m (L × W × H) . The grave is dated to around 3000 BC. Chr. The plant is with the Beaker culture linked (TBK). The heavily damaged megalithic complex on the south-west corner is missing five stones on the south-east side. Otherwise 17 stones have been preserved, two of which, including the northeast end stone, are particularly large.
