Gallery owner

Gallerist is the name of the operator of an art gallery . The latter acts as a commercial intermediary between the artist and the public and presents the works of art by the artists he represents through art exhibitions in his or her gallery and by publishing catalogs for these exhibitions. In doing so, he or she maintains close contact with the visual artist on the one hand and the art collector on the other.
