Galina Putjata

Galina Putjata (* 1985 in Odessa ) is a German linguist.

Life

From 2004 to 2010 she obtained the first state examination , teaching post at grammar schools for French and Spanish (2006–2007 work and research stay at the Academia Contacto in Madrid - research into the non-verbal in Spanish conversation / 2008–2009 research and study stay at the university La Réunion - Research on dealing with linguistic diversity in language policy). From 2008 to 2014 she was a research assistant ; Coordination of inter-institutional projects, teaching in the areas of (foreign) language didactics and linguistics, Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies in Dresden . From 2011 to 2012 she conducted research at the Chaire de Recherche du Canada en Mondialisation, Citoyenneté et Démocratie, UQAM, Montréal, Canada - Research into the social aspects of multilingualism. In 2012 she conducted research at the Center for Research on Bilingualism in Theory and Practice, Bangor - Research into individual bilingualism. From 2010 to 2013 she completed her doctorate in linguistics with a focus on second language acquisition, Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies, TU Dresden . From 2014 to 2020 she taught in the module “German for Immigrant Students” at the Institute for Educational Science at the University of Münster ; Habilitation in the field of multilingualism and language education. She has been Professor of Literacy and Migration-Related Multilingualism at Goethe University since 2020 .

Her main research interests are language acquisition and multilingual language development, multilingualism and linguistic education in educational contexts and professionalization in dealing with linguistic heterogeneity.
