Galten (Norwegian for boar or boar ) is a small group of islands off the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It is located 16 km west of Cape Davis in the eastern part of Magnet Bay .

Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, map them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The islands were first visited in 1957 by a team led by the New Zealand geologist Bruce Harry Stinear (1913-2003) as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions .
