diplomacy

On the sidelines of the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly at the end of September 2012, the Nauruan Foreign Minister Kieren Keke and his Gambian counterpart Mamadou Tangara agreed on diplomatic relations between the two countries.

economy

The two countries have little trade relations . Between 1998 and 2010 there were only imports from Gambia with a volume of around 49,200 US dollars . This was condensed milk (68 percent) and processed egg-containing products (32 percent). Gambian imports from the Republic of Nauru totaled around $ 2,000 between 2014 and 2018; Gambian exports to Nauru did not take place during this period either.
