The Game Boy Player is an accessory for the Nintendo GameCube game console and enables Game Boy games to be played on the television. It was the last add-on device that appeared for the GameCube.

Properties and use

The Game Boy Player is an adapter that enables Game Boy , Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games to be played on the TV screen via the GameCube. To do this, the adapter is plugged into the broadband port on the underside of the GameCube and the game is plugged into the module slot of the Game Boy player. A boot disc is then inserted into the GameCube drive, which can be used to start the Game Boy game. In addition, settings can be made, for example the image sharpness can be regulated, the screen enlarged or one of 20 frames can be placed around the image section.
