In terms of exhibition space and number of visitors, Game City in Austria is the largest trade fair for interactive entertainment electronics , especially video and computer games , in Austria. It took place for the first time in 2006 in the Vienna City Hall. The organizer is the wienXtra association and the executing agency is MICE & Men Eventmarketing GmbH. The fair is a pure consumer fair and is freely accessible to all visitors.

history

The exhibition has been held annually in October in Vienna's City Hall since 2006. Major console manufacturers such as Microsoft , Nintendo and Sony Computer Entertainment are among the exhibitors . Also present are many well-known game developers such as Bandai Namco , Electronic Arts , Bethesda Softworks and Konami . In 2017 the Game City Market Place took place for the first time, where exhibitors can sell their products directly to visitors in a separate area.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic , the trade fair was canceled in 2020.
