from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tadmor ( Gamma Cephei Ab ) is an exoplanet orbiting the star Gamma Cephei A with an orbital period of around 900 days . The major semi-axis is approx. 2 astronomical units and the minimum mass is 1.6 Jupiter masses.

The discovery of Tadmor was announced by a Canadian team as early as 1988, but was later withdrawn because the data did not allow reliable evidence. The discovery was confirmed in 2002 by William D. Cochran and Artie P. Hatzes . The radial velocity method was used in both cases .
