Gandra is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Valença in the Minho-Lima sub-region . The community had 1318 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Gandra and Taião merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Gandra e Taião . Gandra is the seat of this newly formed community.
