Ganei valley

Ganei Tal ( Hebrew גני טל) was a Jewish settlement in the Gush Katif settlement block in the southern Gaza Strip . It was founded in 1979 and was mainly agricultural . Up to August 2005 there were 70 families in it, around 400 people.

In Ganei Tal, mainly tomatoes, peppers, mangos and flowers - e. B. Geraniums - Bred. Many people from East Asian countries, especially Thailand and Nepal, and also many Palestinians were employed in agriculture .

Ganei Tal was in close proximity to the Palestinian city of Chan Yunis .

As part of Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip , Ganei Tal and the other Jewish settlements were completely cleared; the last Jewish settlers left Ganei Tal on August 17, 2005. After the settlement was demolished, the area was turned over to the Palestinians.
