Hillhög

The 1971 by Märta Strömberg part examined passage grave of Hillhög m is in a hill with a remaining amount of 0.4 and a diameter of about 7.0 m, southeast of Börrby in the town of Simrishamn in Skåne in Sweden .

The north-west-south-east oriented chamber of the passage grave ( Swedish passage grip ) measures 3.5 × 2.2 m. It has 10 bearing stones, three each on the long sides and two each on the short sides. The stones have a visible height of 0.5 to 1.2 m, a width of 0.4 to 1.3 m and a thickness of 0.4 to 1.0 m. Two cap stones lie above the entrance to the chamber, 1.3 × 2.0 to 2.2 m and about 0.8 m thick per stone. The corridor in the south-east is about 3.0 m long and 0.8 m wide. It has 4 to 5 lateral bearing stones (one pair is missing) with a visible height of 0.2 to 1.0 m. They are 0.4 to 1.0 m wide and 0.4 to 0.9 m thick. Probably a former pair of cap stones about 1.0 m is not in situ . In the south and south-east there are some stones from 0.8 to 1.0 m, which can be the remains of an edging of the hill.

The rock carving ( Swedish Hällristning ) is located on an outcrop measuring about 1.3 × 2.0 m near the Hillhög. About 80 bowls and a few channels are recognizable. The bowls are 3.0 to 7.0 cm in diameter and 0.5 to 3.0 cm deep. The gutters are 10 to 20 cm long, 5.0 cm wide and 1.0 to 2.0 cm deep.
