The Ganzsteinschanzen ski jumping facility in Mürzzuschlag is the oldest ski jumping facility in Central Europe, which is still largely unchanged, and consists of several ski jumping hills . The facility includes three small jumps of category K 8, K 18, K 28 and a middle hill of category K 55. Only the jumps K 18, K 28 and K 55 are covered with plastic mattings. All four are natural hills. The jumps are located in the easternmost part of Styria and Austria and are the oldest facilities in Central Europe . The ski jumps are also used by the clubs Wiener Stadtadler and Síugrás Kõszeg SE .

history

In 1904 the first ski jump was built, which was converted into a K 40 meter ski jump in 1907. Over the years, the hill has been briefly extended to K 60 meters. In 1983 the ESV Mürzzuschlag association built today's Ganzsteinschanze. In 2004 the ski jumping facility was renovated for 130,000 euros and the jumps K 18, K 28 and K 55 were equipped with plastic mats. A K 8 mini-jump was only built for the winter, but in 2017 it was also equipped with mats for summer operation.

Events

Five registered events take place on the ski jumps every year. The Ladies Cup took place in 2010 .
