GaoJing-1

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GaoJing-1 , also known as SuperView-1 or 高 景 -1, is a series of civil Chinese earth observation satellites from Beijing Space View Tech, China .

The SuperView satellites deliver commercial images with a panchromatic resolution (0.45–0.89 µm) of 0.5 m and a multispectral resolution of 2 m (four-channel with 0.45–0.52 µm, 0.52–0 , 59 µm, 0.63–0.69 µm, 0.77–0.89 µm) with a swath width of 12 km. The satellites are highly manoeuvrable and offer multiple acquisition modes including long strips, multiple strips, multiple point targets, and stereo imaging. The maximum single location recording can provide video data for a 60 km × 70 km. The transmission to earth takes place in the X-band on two channels with 450 Mbit / s each. 2 TB are available for the intermediate storage of the data. The satellites are based on the light CAST3000B satellite bus from Beijing's China SpaceSat (also known as DFH (Dongfanghong) Satellite), the commercial subsidiary of CAST ( Chinese Academy of Space Technology ), which becomes CASC ( China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation ), the Prime contractor of the Chinese space program. The satellites are equipped with two solar cell arms , each with two solar modules. They will be placed in a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 530 km, an orbit inclination of 98º and an orbital time of 97 minutes, with the two satellites of the pair each moving 180º on the orbit. The return visit time to the same place is 4 days. They have a starting mass of 560 kg and a service life of 8 years.

The CASC announced the construction of the satellites in September 2015. When the program is completed, it will consist of 16 optical satellites such as the SuperView-1A and 1B, four more advanced optical satellites, four radar satellites and several mini satellites. The four developed in the first project phase are scheduled to start at the end of 2016 and mid-2017.

The first pair of satellites (SuperView-1 01 and Superview-1 02) was launched on December 28, 2016 (3:23:56 UTC) with a CZ-2D rocket from the TSLC ( Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center ) in the Chinese province of Shanxi . The first two satellites may not be able to operate for as long as planned because of the fuel consumption for the orbit lifts that were not originally planned.
