Guard of Saint Lazar
The Guards of the Holy Tsar Lazar ( Serbian : Гарда светог цара Лазара , Albanian : Garda e Car Llazarit ), commonly known as the Tsar Lazar Guard , is led by Hadzi Andrej Milic and Željko Vasiljević organization by Lazar Hrebeljanović was named a of the most famous Serbian tsars . He offered bitter resistance to the approaching Ottomans , defeated them several times, but was finally defeated in the battle on the Amselfeld on June 15, 1389 and fell himself.
Željko is President of the Guard, a supporter of the Serbian Veterans Party and a former MP from the SPS . The United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) has banned the Guard from entering Kosovo. The unit is seen as a Serbian nationalist organization, which attracts attention through anti-Albanian statements. So it was said that "every Albanian will be killed or will return to Albania."
When it was formed in May 2007, Željko Vasiljević announced that the members of the Guard do not intend to found an extra-state entity and to arm themselves, but rather that their units of the army, the police and the gendarmerie in the event of a declaration of independence by the Kosovo to make available.
In mid-November 2007, the Guard claimed that a new Kosovo war was inevitable. At the end of the same month, the leader of the militia was arrested by the Serbian police and then released.
The group allegedly has 5,000 members and can fall back on 25,000 sympathizers from the Yugoslav region.
