Jack Gardner "Gard" Boultbee (born April 23, 1907 in Vancouver , † August 1, 1980 in Barbados ) was a Canadian sailor .

successes

Gardner Boultbee, of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club sailed, won in 1932 in Los Angeles at the Olympic Games in the 6 meter class bronze medal. He was a crew member of the boat Caprice , led by skipper Philip Rogers , which finished the first four races in third and last place and was third behind the only other two boats. The Americans finished all races in second place, the Swedes came first. Due to the lack of prospects of success, the Canadians did not take part in the last two of the six races. In addition to Boultbee, Kenneth Glass and Gerald Wilson were part of the Caprice's crew .

From the 1940s Boultbee ran a cattle ranch in British Columbia . In the 1960s he was a councilor in Kamloops .
