Garenton from Sahyun

Garenton of Sahyun († around 1155) was Lord of Sahyun (Qal'at Salah ed-Din) in the Principality of Antioch .

Life

He was the brother of Wilhelm von Sahyun and inherited the castle and rule of Sahyun from him in 1132.

He probably had three sons:

  • Roger († September 1195?), 1170 Lord of Sahyun called ∞ Helvis (Avicia) († after 1170), had two sons, Matthieu († before 1193) and Pascal († after 1209)
  • Garenton († after 1194), called Lord of Sahyun in 1175
  • Joscelin († after 1194)
