Wilhelm of Sahyun
Wilhelm von Sahyun (also Wilhelm von Zerdana ; † 1132 ) was Lord of Sahyun (Qal'at Salah ed-Din) in the Principality of Antioch .
He was a relative, possibly the son of Robert von Sahyun and inherited his fiefdom over the castle and rule of Sahyun. Under his rule, the strategically important castle was carefully expanded.
When, after the death of Prince Bohemond II of Antioch, his widow Alice, with the support of Count Joscelin II of Edessa and Count Pons of Tripoli, rebelled against the regent King Fulko of Jerusalem in 1131 and tried to take over the government of the principality, Wilhelm and his stood Brother Garenton on Beatrix's side, in contrast to most of the Antiochene barons.
Wilhelm died in combat with Muslim troops in 1132.
He was married to Beatrix, who shortly after his death married Count Joscelin II of Edessa.
His brother Garenton inherited him in the Sahyun reign.
