features
The moths reach a wingspan of 18 to 25 millimeters. They have white to dark gray wings, on which only a slight wave pattern can be seen. They have a large dark brown spot in front, in the middle and in the back of the wing leading edge. The middle one is significantly larger and extends to the middle of the wing. In addition to the spot on the wing tip, another, but clearly less pronounced brown spot can be seen on the inside, on the outer edge of the wing. The hind wings are gray and have several darker cross bars.
