Garden of Eden (own spelling: GartenEden ) was a German gardening magazine. It was published from 1999 to 2011, most recently six times a year (February, April, June, August, October, December), in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . The publisher was Medienfabrik Gütersloh GmbH , an arvato AG company of the Bertelsmann Group.
history
Originally the title was called Eden . At the beginning of 2008, after market research by IFCom - Institute for Communication Consulting , Advertising and Media Research - there was a relaunch with which the magazine expanded its title to “Garden of Eden” and strengthened its profile with a stronger service and practical orientation. Since then, the title has developed positively in terms of sales and circulation in the highly competitive garden magazine market.
Issue 5/2011 was the last issue of the magazine. In November 2011 it was transferred to the Landidee magazine from Landidee-Verlag. This change was not communicated on either the Garten Eden website or Landidee's website . Only the subscribers of the Garden of Eden magazine were informed.
Awards
In 2009 the magazine was awarded the renowned “Best of Corporate Publishing Award” in silver ( consumer sector group ). In 2008 the magazine received the “Best of Corporate Publishing Award” in gold. The magazine received the “ Best of Corporate Publishing Award” in 2005 in silver and in 2004 in bronze.
