The Territory CTR GmbH (2016: Media Gütersloh GmbH ) is a German advertising agency and corporate publishing -Unternehmen. The company is based in the East Westphalian district town of Gütersloh in North Rhine-Westphalia . The Medienfabrik is 90 percent part of the Bertelsmann printing and publishing house Gruner + Jahr . The remaining 10 percent is held by the managing partner, Stefan Postler. The media factory has locations in Gütersloh, Berlin , Bonn , Leverkusen and Munich . According to the trade magazine Werben & Sell, it is one of the ten largest independent advertising agencies in Germany.

In May 2016 the company was renamed Territory CTR GmbH and is part of the Territory agency .

In 1988 the company P&P GmbH was founded by newspaper editor Heino Nollmann in the Gütersloh district of Isselhorst . In 1996, today's managing partner Stefan Postler from Bertelsmann joined the company. Bertelsmann got involved in 1997 through the subsidiary Mohn Media and took over 49 percent of the shares. In 1998 the headquarters were relocated to the building of the former noodle and starch factory Niemöller & Brockmann on Carl-Bertelsmann-Straße in Gütersloh-Nordhorn. In 2002 Bertelsmann's stake was increased to 90 percent and the company was renamed Medienfabrik Gütersloh . On January 1, 2016, Bertelsmann's internal media factory will move from the arvato logistics division to the Gruner + Jahr publishing house.

Since 2014 the Medienfabrik Gütersloh has been divided into three business areas. The empower division deals with corporate communication . The engage business field does marketing for retail companies and embrace positions employer brands and conducts personnel marketing . The three areas are supplemented by the two cross-sectional functions connect and strategic sales .

Customers include Bayer , Daimler , Ernst & Young , Miele , Postbank and Rossmann .

Products

Medienfabrik acquired the license rights for print products for the 2006 soccer World Cup and, in addition to several soccer books, was the publisher of the World Cup magazine Countdown . The Medienfabrik also designed the official stadium magazines for the World Cup games.

In 2007 the Medienfabrik became a media partner of the German Olympic Sports Confederation and produced the daily newsletter "Olympic Moments" during the Olympic Games in 2008, 2010 and 2012.

Magazines designed by Medienfabrik with a larger circulation were or are the TV-accompanying magazines for DSDS and Germany's Next Topmodel , the gardening magazine " GartenEden " (1999-2011), the natural food and health food specialist magazines "Eve" and " Of course ”, the philately customer magazine of Deutsche Post“ mint ”, the school magazine“ DerAbiturient.de ”and the magazine of the German youth hostel organization “ Extratour ”.
