Gary W. Billings is an amateur Canadian astronomer and asteroid explorer.

He is a geophysicist by profession and is particularly interested in the photometry of variable stars .

As part of his observations, he discovered a total of six asteroids in Calgary in 1999 .

The asteroid (73703) Billings was named after him on July 13, 2004.
