Gary Farr & the T-Bones

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gary Farr & The T-Bones was an English beat band from the 1960s that already combined jazz and pop elements at that time and thus ran counter to the Mersey sound that was popular at the time .

Gary's father was the famous boxer Tommy Farr and his brother was Ricky Farr , the promoter of the Isle of Wight festival . Her manager was Giorgio Gomelski , the owner of the "Crawdaddy Club" and producer of Julie Driscoll, among others .

At the end of 1965 the band split up. The T-Bones then accompanied PP Arnold for a time , and Farr tried his hand at a solo career that led him from Columbia Records to Dandelion , from there to Marmalade and finally back to CBS . He has been a welcome guest at various music festivals, including the one on the Isle of Wight and the Richmond Jazz Festival.
