Gary Michael Jonland (born June 21, 1952 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a retired American speed skater .
Jonland was national champion in 1966 as a teenager. In 1968 he also managed to do this as a junior over the long distances, in 1969 and 1970 over the medium distances. At the all-around world championships in 1972 and 1973 he reached positions 18 and 17. At the world championships in sprint in the same years he was ranked 33 and 20 .
Jonland also competed in the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan . He achieved 14th place over 1500 meters. His best result in an international competition was a fourth place over the 500 m distance at the all-around world championships in 1973.
