from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gasha , also in the spelling Gascha , was an Ethiopian surface measure for the field survey and regionally quite different in size. For a Gasha, 35 hectares in Shewa / Shoa / Shoa and otherwise up to one square kilometer were possible. Officially, however, a Gasha was equivalent to 40 hectares (Kaisergascha / Mangistgascha).
