Fursac is a French commune with 1,511 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine , in Creuse , in district Gueret and in the District of Le Grand-Bourg . It was created as Commune nouvelle by a decree of September 29, 2016 that merged the previous municipalities of Saint-Étienne-de-Fursac and Saint-Pierre-de-Fursac on January 1, 2017. The former has since been the main town (Chef-lieu). Both are now Communes déléguées .

Fursac is bordered by Saint-Maurice-la-Souterraine to the north-west, La Souterraine and Saint-Priest-la-Feuille to the north, Chamborand to the north-east, Le Grand-Bourg to the east, Marsac to the south-east, Arrènes to the south , in the south-west on Laurière and in the west on Folles and Fromental .
