Geography and infrastructure

Marsac has a train station on the Montluçon - Saint-Sulpice-Laurière line . The municipality is made up of the villages of L'Âge, L'Aviation, Le Bois-Neuf, Le Breuil, La Brousse, La Chaise, Combe-Chanon, Le Galateau, La Gasne-des-Rorgues, Les Grands-Moulins, Lagemard, Malval , Le Mont, La Pérelle, Les Quatre-Routes, Ransonnet, Le Rhet, Les Rivailles, Les Rorgues, Les Souliers, Sous-Fransour, Villechenour and Villejague . It borders in the north-west on Fursac with Saint-Étienne-de-Fursac , in the north on Le Grand-Bourg , in the north-east on Bénévent-l'Abbaye , in the east on Mourioux-Vieilleville and in the south on Arrènes .
