Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre (1801 still with the spelling Lardoux-Saint-Pierre ) is a commune in the French department of Creuse in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality with 773 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) belongs to the Arrondissement Guéret and the municipality of Portes de la Creuse en Marche .

The municipality of Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre, which is almost 45 km² in size, stretches from the border with the Indre department in the north to the Creuse river in the southwest.
Neighboring municipalities of Lourdoueix-Saint-Michel are Aigurande in the north, La Forêt-du-Temple in the northeast, Mortroux in the east, Linard-Malval with Linard in the southeast, Chéniers in the south, Chambon-Sainte-Croix , Fresselines and Nouzerolles in the southwest and Méasnes in the West.

Economy and Infrastructure
There are 70 farms in the large community (growing grain and vegetables, dairy farming, breeding horses, cattle, sheep and goats, and pig farming).
The D 32 trunk road from Charmes to Rambervillers runs through the municipality of Essegney . In the nearby town of Charmes there is a connection to the motorway-like RN 57 from Nancy to Épinal . Charmes station, one and a half kilometers from Essegney, is on the Blainville-Damelevières-Lure railway line .
