Nouzerolles is a municipality in the Massif Central in France . It belongs to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , the Creuse department , the Guéret arrondissement and the Dun-le-Palestel canton . It is bordered by Fresselines to the south and west , Lourdoueix-Saint-Michel to the north, Méasnes to the northeast and Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre to the east . The residents call themselves Nouzerollois . They live in the villages of Le Baillevent, Le Baron, Le Bragoulet, Le Grand Domaine, La Jarrige, Le Puy Balièbre and La Rapidière. The place name has a Gallo-Roman origin. Earlier names were "Nucarium", "Nouziers" and "Nouzerines" depending on the era.
