Gaston Sirjean
Gaston Sirjean (born March 26, 1904 in Pélissier, Département Oran , Algeria ; † unknown) was a French doctor and genealogist .
In 1931 he submitted his doctoral thesis in medicine at the University of Algiers with the title “Contribution à l ' étude de la réaction de vernes à la resorcine: ses rapports avec la puerpéralité”, but in the following years he published little in the medical field. Sirjean, on the other hand, became known as a genealogist, especially through his main work Encyclopédie généalogique des maisons souveraines du monde , which, contrary to his title, deals with the French kings and emperors and for which he received the Prix Boquette for history of the Académie française in 1965 .
