History and architecture

The first extensions were built in the first half of the 19th century using the former stud wall construction. The resulting extension wing contains a dance hall on the upper floor with a music hall that has been preserved to this day . Another expansion followed around the middle of the 19th century with a side number and a grocery store . The framework for this extension consists of a mixed form of post and floor construction. A third addition to the rear was built in 1889 and, in addition to another adjoining room, also included the construction of a bowling alley . In 1939 the adjoining rooms and the bowling alley were expanded for residential purposes. The building has been a listed building since October 2, 1989 and is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Leverkusen .

The building is used as a restaurant and has been family-owned since at least 1892.
