Gauda
Gauda ( Greek Γαύδης, tamazight ⴳⵓⴷⴰ Guda ) was a son of the Numid king Mastanabal and grandson of King Massinissa . Because of his physical and mental vulnerability, he was excluded from the line of succession to King Micipsa . During the Jugurthin War (111-105 BC) he made his claims and after Jugurtha's defeat against the Roman Empire, with the support of the Roman general Gaius Marius, he became king of Numidia (105-88 BC). His son Hiempsal II was his successor.
