Aslı Bayram (2007)

Aslı Bayram (* 1981 in Darmstadt ) is a German actress of Turkish origin. In 2005 she was elected Miss Germany and subsequently represented Germany in the Miss Universe election in Bangkok . Since 2010 she has been the ambassador of the State Prevention Council in the Hessian Ministry of Justice .

Bayram graduated from the Max Beckmann School in Frankfurt am Main . She took acting lessons from Eric Morris, Los Angeles and Anne Mertin , Vienna .

Life

Her parents had moved to Darmstadt from Turkey, and their father ran a small import-export company. She has four siblings. On February 18, 1994, a neo-Nazi shot her father when he opened the door. She was injured in the process.

She had her first international film role in Jump! with Patrick Swayze . She then starred in the black comedy Short Cut to Hollywood . The film was successfully presented at the Berlinale in 2009 in the Panorama competition .

In October 2007, Bayram made her theatrical debut at the Esch-sur-Alzette City Theater / Luxembourg in a solo role in Anne Frank: The Diary. This was followed by an invitation to the German language theater festival in Prague and then the German premiere in Frankfurt am Main . Buddy Elias , Anne Frank's cousin, congratulated her on this project. In 2008/2009 she went on a tour to Canada and the USA with an English-language version. She ended the tour on the occasion of Anne Frank's 80th birthday with 3 performances at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, Hollywood.

Her book Grenzgängerin - Lebenbetween den Worlds was published in 2009 by the Random House publishing group. In spring 2009 she shot the film 180 ° in Switzerland and in autumn of the same year Sevdah za Karima (English title: Sevdah for Karim) in Sarajevo, Bosnia. She was not dubbed for both roles, but played in the respective national languages, in Swiss German and in Bosnian. Both films have been shown at international film festivals such as Zurich, Sarajevo, Pécs, Antalya, Gothenburg, Rotterdam and Berlin.

In September 2010, she made her entry into the Guinness Book of Records with her book Grenzgängerin - Lebenbetween der Welts . A record number of people read her book publicly at the same time. Bayram is very committed to society. Since 2010 she has been an honorary ambassador for crime prevention for the Ministry of Justice in Hesse . She also took over the honorary patronage for the Riehl School with many children with a migration background in Wiesbaden .

In early 2011 she played the leading female role in the five-part Turkish TV film Sirat.
