Anne Mertin

Anne Mertin (* 1942 in Vienna ; † November 16, 2017 there ) was an Austrian actress .

Life

Anne Mertin was the daughter of Anna and Josef Mertin . She studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. From 1960 she was engaged in various Austrian and German theaters. In the 1977/1978 season she moved to the Munich Residenztheater , where she played the role of Kristin in Strindberg's Traumspiel under Ingmar Bergman and Marthe Schwerdtlein in Goethe's Faust I under Michael Degen . She made her film debut in Bergman's Schlangenei in 1977, followed by other films, among others with Stefan Ruzowitzky and Kitty Kino  .

Since 1980 Mertin has worked in the experimental theater groups Gruppe 80 and TheaterAngelusNovus . In 1989 she founded the Stadt Theater Wien together with Fred Büchel , which since 2002 has been working under the name Fritzpunkt in particular with the work of the Austrian author Marianne Fritz . In addition, she worked together with Christoph Büchel , Klaus Kastberger , Hans-Thies Lehmann , Kurt Neumann , Sophie Reyer , Wendelin Schmidt-Dengler , Clemens J. Setz , Peter Waterhouse and Chris Zintzen-Bader as well as the Alte Schmiede Wien , the Free University of Berlin , the Kunsthaus Graz , the Literaturhaus Graz , the Austrian Society for Literature , the Styrian Autumn , the Tanzquartier Wien , the Wien Museum and the Vienna Secession .
