180 ° is a Swiss film from 2010 by Cihan Inan . The episode film was inspired by Günther Tschanun's killing spree (1986).

action

The film 180 ° is an episode story that focuses on people who are put to the test by fate. An official's killing spree, two teenagers who timidly approach each other, a Turkish family opening their snack bar, two night nurses at the beginning of their shift and a trendy couple on the way home. With these ingredients, a handful of people who couldn't be more different are crossed in a dramatic way for 24 hours. It's about people in extreme situations and rather than a drama, the film is a homage to life, humanity and the courage to face life every day.

production

The making of the film extended over a period of seven years. Originally, the film should have been set in the 80s, but was then changed to today's "look" due to budget cuts. For the same reason, the film had to be made in just 24 days. The conductor David Zinman and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich were hired to record the original music .
