Kaya Inan

Kaya Inan (* 1983 in Muri AG ) is a Swiss film editor who also works in Germany.

Life

Inan was born in 1983 as the son of Turkish immigrants in Switzerland. As a 19-year-old he appeared in the movie Ready, steady, Charlie! as an actor. From 2006 to 2011 he completed a degree in montage at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , since then he has worked as a freelance editor for documentaries and feature films.

Inan was honored with the Editing Prize and the Swiss Film Prize in 2016 for the documentary Above and Below . In 2017 he again received the Swiss Film Award for Cahier Africain , for which he was also nominated in 2018 for his work on Papa Moll and the kidnapping of the flying dog .

Kaya Inan is a member of the European Film Academy , the Swiss Film Academy , and the German Film Academy . He is also a member of the German Federal Association of Film Editing Editor eV (BFS) .
