The Juggler Festival Lenzburg (also called Lenzburger Juggler Festival ) is an international festival for jugglers , magicians , acrobats , clowns , jugglers , pantomimes , stilt walkers and other street and small performers . development

The Lenzburger Gauklerfestival was originally founded by some shops in the city center with the support of an advertising agency. After a few successful years, they handed over responsibility to an independent, voluntary organizing committee. Since then the festival has grown inexorably, with the city of Lenzburg and local companies supporting it as sponsors .

In recent years the festival has developed into the largest event of its kind in German-speaking Switzerland : Around twenty artists and artist groups at a high international level (such as Olli Hauenstein , Peter Shub , Starbugs Comedy , Gogol and Mäx) attract 10,000-14,000 visitors from German-speaking Switzerland and Southern Germany.

The Lenzburg juggler festival originally lasted three days, from Thursday to Saturday, and since 2003 four days to Sunday. Since 1999 there has been a Comedy Night to open the festival. All visitors have free entry, with the exception of the comedy night. The artists appear on several stages and in the alleys of the old town and ask for the hat money that has been common for centuries after their performance .
