Gaumeister
Especially in the first half of the 20th century, Gaumeister was the name for winners of regional sporting championships . Since the second half of the 20th century, after the end of the Third Reich, the name has only been used by a few sports associations in Germany and Austria.

The sportsperson who had won the championship in the respective sport area was designated as the Gaumeister . Almost all sports that are still relevant today were covered, such as gymnastics , football or athletics .
