Gavriel Salomon ( October 12, 1938 - January 4, 2016 ) was an Israeli educationalist who dealt with the influence of symbol systems on learning processes and the didactic design of learning environments.

Part of his research has dealt with the reception of the Israeli version of Sesame Street .

Gavriel Salomon was awarded the main prize of the Peter Becker Prize for Peace and Conflict Research in 2010 for his life's work as a peace educator.
