Gbawe
Gbawe is a place in the Greater Accra Region in the West African state of Ghana .
The city is located a few kilometers west of Accra in the Ga West District. At the last census of the country on September 26, 2010, 69,356 inhabitants lived in the city. Projections for January 1, 2007 estimate the population to be 52,910. In the 1984 census only 837 inhabitants were listed, in 1970 there were 608. The place is a settlement of the Ga, which was established more than 100 years ago. Even today it has a more village-like structure, in the large new development areas it is suburban.
