Territorial protection (competition theory)

If territorial protection is granted, this means that someone is assured that they will not have to fear competition in a certain business area in a certain region . Area protection usually takes place via a system of controlled awarding of concessions .

Examples:

Territorial protection exists, for example, for representative institutions such as professional bodies . The public law context also includes the hunting ban and fishing law , two areas in which care tasks and economic matters are connected and which are not linked to property.
