Gebrüder Hemmerle is a Munich jeweler and manufacturer of orders and medals as well as a former royal Bavarian purveyor to the court .

history

In 1893 the brothers Joseph and Anton Hemmerle took over an already established goldsmith's company in Munich, which specialized in the production of orders and medals. Hemmerle was appointed royal Bavarian purveyor to the court by Prince Regent Luitpold in 1895 . In 1904 the Hemmerle brothers opened a shop on Maximilianstrasse in Munich. The sons joined the company in 1921. From 1978 the business was modernized. Two years later, Stefan Hemmerle and Joseph Hemmerle took over management.

The Bavarian Order of Merit , which was designed by the company, is still produced in the company today, along with many other Bavarian orders and awards.
