The covered wooden bridge is a listed building in Hennersdorf .
The wooden bridge, about 36 meters long and 4 meters wide, spans the Zschopau in two fields of 15 meters clear width about 4 meters above the normal level . On the east side, the road crosses the Zschopautalbahn immediately in front of the bridge portal , so that the bridge is temporarily closed by rail barriers arranged on both sides.
The building, erected in 1840 according to plans by Christian Friedrich Uhlig , has a hipped roof covered with slate over the suspended structure. In the two external timber-framed walls, there is a double hanging structure with a span of 16.5 meters in both fields . The struts and hanging pillars each consist of two pieces of wood. The three fields of each double truss are also divided by a single truss.
In 1971 the bridge was restored and the roadway reinforced. In research, the important classicist traffic monument is often compared with the similar bridge built in Leubsdorf-Hohenfichte in 1832 .
