Gediminas Žiemelis (born April 4, 1977 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian entrepreneur. Twice he was recognized as a young Leader 40 under Forty by the aviation magazine Aviation Week & Space Technology .

Life

From 1995 to 1999 Žiemelis completed a bachelor's degree in business management at the Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universitetas and from 2000 to 2006 a master's degree in law at the Mykolo Riomerio universitetas .

From 1999 to 2001 Žiemelis worked at AB Lietuvos taupomasis bankas (now AB Swedbank ). From 2002 he was Chairman of the Board of AB ŽIA Valda . From 2001 to 2005, Žiemelis was General Manager of UAB Žvilgsnis iš arčiau (now Creditinfo Group ) and from 2002 to 2006 and 2007 to 2008 UAB Finhill Soft Management . From 2010 he was a member of the supervisory board of AB Agrowill Group . From 2012 to 2014 Žiemelis was CEO of AB AviaAM Leasing AB . Since 2009 he has headed the AB Avia Solutions Group as CEO and works as Director for Business Development.

Žiemelis is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).

family

His father Vidmantas Žiemelis (* 1950) is a lawyer and former Minister of the Interior of Lithuania . His sister Jurgita Žiemelytė-Lukauskienė (* 1983) managed some companies in her brother's group of companies.
